  1. 2013-2014 Mazda 6 wheel fitment info found!

    Wheels / Tires
They will be 5mm further out than stock. No problem at all. Some guys floating around here have fitted even wider wheels (9 inch!)with less offset = further out (+35 I think?) and still have no dramas. The wheel arches on the new 6 seem to be massive. PS. If you were near me (Brisbane...
  2. staggered 20s setup = so much sex

    Wheels / Tires
Give us a view of the stagger - i.e. a pic down side, front and rear angles. I like the look your getting too though. Might rub is lower. Good luck.

Yeah still around...Still loving our 6. I feel ya bro, it is a real PITA! Lucky for us the insurance company confirmed that original repaint was sh*t. Then got them to repair it properly. All the best with yours. Be persistent.

Yes, they are dime a dozen on ebay. I got these: 2pcs T10 4W 7 SMD SMT LED High Power Wedge CAR Light Bulbs 168 194 501 White | eBay They are ok and bright enough, one did fail but they sent a replacement, and still all good now after 2-3 months. All the best.

Comment noted. But this 6 does come with a factory version DRL led, just not my spec. I am still toying with the idea and think it looks far from shit (bit harsh there bro!), but that is only my opinion too. It may actually be a bit too bright for night time driving, but on the new 6 it fits...

Directly off the parking lights. Not sure if you have the same lighting setup as we do in Australia. We have parking lights (the little T10/ W5W bulb) in the top outer housing of headlight assembly. We do not get the low voltage halogen DRL, just high beam. (PS. I am not talking about headlight...

Hi there. Not sure with the 6 volt DRL feed (we dont have that here in Australia). Perhaps look into using a relay to get the switching and power you need from alternate source. Good Luck. PS. These are bright, so I will be wiring these as DRLs with reduced voltage feed for night time eyelids...

Ebay 1cm spacing led side emitting strip was about $15 posted, I bought 2x 60cm strips, but was able to cut one pretty much in half to fit that space. So I guess I have a spare if it goes out. Still going good. Think I will keep it on. link: 60cm 24" 60 Leds 12V CAR SMD Side Emitting Glow...
  10. Customized Mazda6 Logo

    3rd-Gen
I would be interested also, for sure. Is your intent to be a "badge" or a "decal/sticker"? I would prefer some sort of badge. Also where are you going to put it? I am thinking it replaces the OEM Mazda 6 badge on the rear left?

They only come on with parking and headlights, they are not wired for daytime running (yet, still thinking about the whole thing). I guess you could say the "eyelids" are highlights to the headlights and/or extra parking light illumination. Will post a daytime pic for reference when I can....cheers.

Update: Glad to report - after a couple of arguments with repairer, calls to the insurer, re-inspections, car hire, 1 day to 4 days, turning into 5 days back at the shop and some tears (from the misses) - our SOUL RED Mazda 6 is as good as new. SOUL RED paint repair is all good. On both front...

Our model has iELOOP and Istop. Trip computer on ours is 8.5 l/100km which is 28mpg for you guys. This is 95% city driving, short trips mostly too. Have not done a bowser/full tank measure comparison. Happy with that so far. Seems to be getting better only 5000km on it. Will report a longer...

I feel ya, our SOUL RED six is going back for colour match rectification. Shop did not even get close! Was really disappointing. No metal effect can be seen under the colour at all around area of repair. Must have been done by a rookie! Found this interesting link, might be useful for you too...
  18. Wider tires.

    Wheels / Tires
I have 245/40R19 on 19x8 inch aftermarket rims. Don't know if I would put those on the stock the 19x7.5. You could go higher series (45,50, etc) but then the overall diameter will be out of whack. I would suggest sell the stock wheels and go aftermarket 8 or 8.5 inch, if you want to go for wider...

That sux man!. Our weekend in our new 6; Car wash at shopping center on Saturday, so they park it over the line then the car in the parking bay in front reverses in to our front bumper bar with their towbar, putting a dirty great big scratch and ding! Nice! Then on the way home on Sunday night...

Mazda dealer service (where we bought it) has tested and agreed that these are all faulty. It is booked to return for full diagnostics (whatever that means?) under instruction from Mazda HO here in Australia. This is the second time it has returned for unscheduled servicing/repairs since we got...
