  1. Interest in Light Weight Aftermarket Flywheel?

    MTX Transmission Discussion
Per this old thread our flywheel sucks and still hasn't grown on me in 3 years of driving. Still hard to get good shifts, and revving is too sluggish for our short 1st gear: http://forum.mazda6club.com/mtx-transmission-discussion/343721-i-hate-dual-mass-flywheel.html Since a few years have...
  2. Front Camber adjustment using Camber Bolts

    Suspension / Brakes
Yes just one set installed per manufacturers instructions will get the job done.
  3. Front Camber adjustment using Camber Bolts

    Suspension / Brakes
Deleted. Haven't posted in a year. Forgot to quote.
  4. Unofficial 2017 Mazda6 Rumor Thread

    Future Models
Well you don't work for Mazda corporate like badbenz does. LoL
  5. 2015 Sport w/Corksport Springs & RSB; Bouncy ride?

    Suspension / Brakes
Bouncy means underdamped, meaning it oscillates more than a single cycle over a bump. If your car is doing this and you can't stand it then you need stiffer shocks, or if you can remove a bunch of weight from the rear, that will lessen the force on the shocks. My suspension is stock, but I've...
  6. Mazda 6 first service question

    3rd-Gen
Better yet, if you are not disabled in some way, walk or ride a bike to work (when the weather is decent) and save the car driving for the weekends.
  7. Issues after removing clutch assist spring

    MTX Transmission Discussion
Yeah, just double check the connection to the MAF on the intake is still fully snapped in and engaged for a start.
  8. Issues after removing clutch assist spring

    MTX Transmission Discussion
Put the spring back and see if the problem goes away. Assuming it is the problem, make sure the pedal is able to trigger the clutch engagement sensor switch. If it doesn't have enough oompf to trigger the witch a lot of screwy things will likely happen since that is used for cruise control...
  9. 19x9.5 ET38 in the rear

    Wheels / Tires
Oops, not on the computer I was using, never mind, I can see them now. FYI I saw on an Audi forum, you can drop the car down on the Wheels onto 2x4s laying flat so you can see the fit with the suspension loaded up. There seems to be a lot of poke with the wheels hanging in the air on our car.

  11. 2016 Touring Headlights

    3rd-Gen
Also, has anybody tried these out? http://www.carid.com/2014-mazda-6-led-lights/piaa-led-headlight-conversion-kit-66830097.html Plug and play and PIAA reliability sure sounds tempting as an option to upgrade to LED headlights.

I second this. Can somebody link to the correct version for a touring model, not GT replacement?
  13. 3nd-Gen Wheel Thread - POST YOUR PICS/SPECS!!!----

    Wheels / Tires
Nah, 255 gives you the right overall diameter, keeps the wheels and tires from looking small, ESPECIALLY when you have an aero kit. Not to mention it is the perfect fit width for a 9" wheel. I would buy two sets of the SPC ez cam bolts from the tire rack for $50 and crank them to the max for...
  14. Front Camber adjustment using Camber Bolts

    Suspension / Brakes
I just contacted SPC performance technical line about their camber bolts. They said there is no safety issue associated with using two sets of camber bolts (both top and bottom bolts, both sides), just that the second set for the bottom will not offer nearly as much additional change in camber...
  15. 3nd-Gen Wheel Thread - POST YOUR PICS/SPECS!!!----

    Wheels / Tires
Awesome, finally somebody with Ace Alloy Convex in 20x9! Can you take a shot down the side so the flushness front and rear is more evident? If your coilovers don't come with adjustable camber you can get SPC adjustable camber bolts. One set doesn't do very much for people. I still need to...
  16. Custom CAI?

    2.5L I-4
A custom intake is out of the question as mentioned above, it took plenty of trial and error with the speed shops to get intakes that didn't throw CELs. Wait until you have the money to do it right, or you will be completely throwing away your money. Also SRIs with a cold air box can be just...
  17. Best MTX fluid?

    MTX Transmission Discussion
FWIW I feel the same about Redline MTL. Been using it for 20 years now.
  18. AEM released an SRI kit on us

    2.5L I-4
If that's all you do it won't be much. Don't forget the cool sounds though. I will say I've nickel and dimed my way to a mid sized car with a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder that will run 0-60 in about 6 seconds flat, which is pretty impressive really. The intake upgrade was part of that. This...
  19. Front Control Arm Bushing Urethane Mod is Awesome

    Suspension / Brakes
The mod definitely makes the front feel like the back. When you go over a sharp bump it's thump, thump not jiggle, thump or bang, thump. When I go over big potholes the steering wheel does still jiggle a bit.
  20. Orange Virus Tuned 3rd Gen Mazda6 2.5G Skayctiv Results and Technical Discussion

    2.5L I-4
I did manage to get my tune update blended with my custom settings and flashed over the weekend. I do notice throttle response is definitely improved, and from about 4k up the acceleration is less batmobile-like in sound and feel, but pulls nice and even and hard up to 6500rpm. So the change...
