  1. What is factory spring length/rate?

    Suspension / Brakes
Just trying to get the original specs for the rear springs guys, not the Spanish inquisition lol. To answer your questions though, a large amount of the weight is lead from batteries and ferrite from the subwoofers and wood for the enclosure. And no bags or air ride, I've been down that road...
  2. What is factory spring length/rate?

    Suspension / Brakes
I'm looking to add coilovers to my '14 GT, but I'm adding a shit load of weight in the rear seat/trunk for a stereo. It will be about 3,000-3,500 pounds. I've been talking with BC Racing and they offer Swift springs up to 40K rate (2,200 pounds per inch). I'd love to get about a 1" drop from...
  3. Recommended Maintenance Beyond Mazda's Schedule? (High Mileage)

    3rd-Gen
Was a bit cheaper than estimated, was $358 with all taxes/fees. About 1/2 labor and 1/2 parts. Got a transmission drain and fill in the process, so I can't be mad, hah. It may be in my head, but it does feel better at shifting in general. I also asked the service guys about any extended...
  4. Recommended Maintenance Beyond Mazda's Schedule? (High Mileage)

So they said it was a damaged seal on the pan or something of that nature. So they have to drop it, empty it, check the pan/trans for any damage, redo the seal, and refill it. All to the tune of about $450... I can't really complain to have it done correctly and if this is the extent of...
  5. Recommended Maintenance Beyond Mazda's Schedule? (High Mileage)

    3rd-Gen
Not really. It's always had a bit of a rough shift from P/N to D/R, but not anything that would cause alarm. Mileage is around 101K, 2014 Grand Touring (early build, so late 2012). I bought it 2 years ago with 37K, so I average about 30K/year.

Now here's a coincidence, my ATX is leaking... So guess we'll see what stealership says.
  7. Recommended Maintenance Beyond Mazda's Schedule? (High Mileage)

    3rd-Gen
So ATX flushes every 45K (I guess I'm a bit overdue at 101K, lol). Serpentine/water pump belts at 100K, which I would agree since my previous vehicle said 105K. To simplify: Oil/Filter/Tire Rotation - Every 7.5K Miles/6 Months (Per Maint. Schedule) Engine/Cabin Filters - Every 15K Miles/12...
  8. A/S tire choices for 2014 Mazda6 - thoughts / my research

    Wheels / Tires
Hah, not sure how a 20" tire would fit on a 19" wheel. I have Niche M117 20x9's on the car.
  9. A/S tire choices for 2014 Mazda6 - thoughts / my research

    Wheels / Tires
I posted before that I got Continental DWS06 for my car. They lasted just about the warranty period of 50K miles. Towards the end they were extra noisy/rough ride, though that may have just been balance issues. Switched to Pirelli Cinturato P7 245/40/20, so much better! They're way quieter and...
  10. Recommended Maintenance Beyond Mazda's Schedule? (High Mileage)

    3rd-Gen
So I'm sure people are starting to get higher in their mileages, what all have you needed to replace or flush or whatever? Mazda's maintenance schedule only goes to 60K miles (except coolant flush at 120K). I'm at 101K and I'm sure people are at least 150K and probably some pushing 200K at this...
  11. 2014 GT Sound Quality Build

Try folding them down I guess. The only other solution is to do a port through the rear deck. Sent from my LG-H901 using Tapatalk

What do you mean? I do sound quality so I don't need a ton of output for that (like 125dB at most). However, when I'm trying to bass out, I fold at least one of the rear seats down. Maybe they changed the seats in the 2015-16, but even with mine up it's not drastically different.

Minor update. My Mosconi AS 300.2 for the sub died, guess it didn't like being wired to 1.4 ohm bridged since it's only rated at 2 ohm stable. So I have replaced it with a Sundown SCV-4000D and it's wired at 1.4 ohm still. It sounds about the same volume because of impedance rise. Required a new...
  14. Anyone have a fix for the FOW/MRCC Disabled errors?

    Electrical / HVAC
That's very odd. I went to the dealership and they said the fix is to replace the whole radar module because it won't accept a new calibration. So I ordered through a friend at Mazda to the tune of $1040 and now I have to pay them to install and calibrate it for another $3-400... Soooooo, that's...
  15. Looking for Mechanic in Charlotte NC.

    Newbie Section
My buddy Robert Jagacki might be able to do it if his schedule is open. You can text or call him at 631-942-3597. If he can't, I can ask around to some other friends. Sent from my LG-H901 using Tapatalk
